2022 Foolhardy Chardonnay

Our first Chardonnay from the Gamache Vineyard is lithe, fresh and floral, with a mouthwatering array of lemon curd, pear and warm croissant flavors. Fermentation in once-filled oak imparts generosity to the texture, and salt and chalk nuances carry through the aftertaste.

Like all Foolhardy wines, this Chardonnay is fermented with native (not added) yeasts. Serve cool, not cold, to enjoy the maximum complexity of flavor and the range of citrus, fruit and cream aromas. Wonderfully versatile with food, we like to pair with roasted and sauteed fish, poultry, pork dishes and cheese.

2023 Walla Walla Valley Malbec

There’s no mistaking the Foolhardy Malbec, which can be identified from the purple-black color alone. Like our previous Malbecs from the Southwind Vineyard in Milton Freewater, the 2023 is gutsy and concentrated, loaded with cardamom spice, wild berry and roasted plum tones. Mineral accents, subtle black pepper and generous, fleshy fruit promise years of delicious drinking.

We produced just 71 cases of this compelling wine, which was native fermented in used French oak. Pair the '23 Malbec with beef, lamb and spicy fare.
