2021 Sauvignon Blanc

Our 2021 Foolhardy Sauvignon Blanc fulfills the promise of the terrific growing season, with a delicious array of juicy tropical, citrus and mineral flavors. It is distinctively Sauvignon Blanc, with the variety’s signature lime and grapefruit tones, as well as mouthwatering passion fruit and guava flavors. Read more about this “summer in a bottle.”

2017 Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2017 Foolhardy Cabernet Sauvignon is built to last, with a core of ripe, intense fruit and dark chocolate framed by subtle, spicy oak. Violet and red raspberry aromas give way to supple, textured flavors of blackberry and Bing cherries, with mineral tones offering an intriguing counterpoint in a lingering finish. More details here.

2020 Sauvignon blanc

Our inaugural release Sauvignon Blanc has summer written all over it: vibrant, refreshing, a little bracing, with tropical undertones (passion fruit and guava) adding a note of succulent richness. Bursting with sunny citrus flavors (lime, lemon and a bit of grapefruit), and underscored by the vineyard's distinctive mineral character, this wine has the cut and verve for a terrific summer aperitif. Native yeast fermentation in previously filled (not new) French oak barrels, and frequent lees stirring, added texture and warm brioche weight to the flavors.

This wine is remarkably flexible to match with food. If you start the evening out on the deck, then transition to the dinner table, you'll find that the 2020 Foolhardy Sauvignon Blanc has the concentration and depth to complement a plethora of menu options, be it Asian, grilled fish, chicken, pork, cheese, etc. (we don’t think you can go wrong). The wine will gain weight with aeration and a few extra months in bottle, and we suggest taking it out of the refrigerator 15-20 minutes before pouring.

2016 FH Blend

A fleshy Cabernet blend, with a broad swath of ripe fruit and bright, lingering flavors. We taste chocolate-coated black cherries, wild strawberry and exotic spices, with velvety tannins adding focus and length.

A barrel selection of six Columbia Valley vineyards that deliver a mouthful of flavor and the freshness that invites another glass. We made 25 barrels in 2016, comprised of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 12% Malbec and 8% Petit Verdot.

There’s no reason to wait on the 2016 FH. Enjoy it at a party, on the patio or around the dinner table (but you'll be pleasantly surprised if you squirrel away a couple of bottles for three or four years).

2016 Foolhardy cabernet Sauvignon

A small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon showcasing the best of the Columbia Valley. Vivid, ripe and intense, with a range of black and red fruit flavors. A wine that convinces without shouting, featuring supple texture, depth and polished oak undertones. Dark chocolate and subtle spice nuances extend through the finish, with firm, fine-grained tannins and a lingering interplay of mouthwatering fruit tones. We get black cherry, wild raspberry and a hint of blackcurrant, but please let us know what you taste.

Only 15 barrels were made of this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, a barrel-selected blend of three terrific vineyards: Elephant Mountain, Red Willow and Stone Tree.

This has the concentration to enjoy on its own and the vibrancy to complement a wide range of foods. There are few wrong choices (other than grapefruit and anchovies, IOO) and the point is to drink our wines however you like.

Showing well now, the 2016 Foolhardy Cabernet Sauvignon will improve with cellaring that allows the tannin and oak tones to mellow and further complexity to develop. If pulling a cork tonight, try to let the bottle breathe for a bit and you'll be rewarded with abundantly aromatic fruit.
